How to Kick Stress in the Butt with 5 Words

March 12, 2018

I don’t consider myself an especially competitive person.

I motivated by simply enjoying what I’m doing rather than external pressure.

But alas, sometimes I find myself harshly comparing myself to other people: how I look, what I’m doing, how I’m doing it, how I act.

You know that feeling?

It’s intimidating! And stressful!

So I simply remind myself of one sentence and everything gets better. Are you on the edge of your seat yet?

My new mantra is:

One of my favourite bloggers, Lauryn, brought this into my life.

It’s so simple but I love the idea of it.

Imagine a swimming competition. You have to stay in your lane and focus only on what you’re doing. It’s really hard to keep swimming if you constantly look at the people next to you.

Staying in your own lane means just focusing on what you’re doing and how you can do it best; regardless of the people around you.

Comparing is something we all do waaaaay too much.

So next time you’re stressed out about someone else’s work, look, friends or actions, take a minute to step away and find your lane again. For some people, this may be easier said than done, and they may find it considerably harder to get their stress under control. If you haven’t found a method that has yet to be effective, it may be time to start considering alternative options, like taking something similar to this usa grown cbd tincture. CBD products have been known to help alleviate any stress that an individual is feeling so that they can start to feel like themselves again. Most people are able to release their stress by stepping away and finding their own lane, but if this isn’t you, make sure you find an effective method soon so that these stressful emotions don’t take over your life.
